No matter how much you plan ahead, it always seems like there's never enough storage space in your home. Storage space is a tricky element to plan out and generally, there's always that one room in the house where you think about the many storage possibilities you should have thought of prior to building. Whether you're building anew or remodeling your current space, keep in mind these clever and functional ways to create more storage space in the bathroom. Usually smaller in scope, bathrooms are spaces where storage space is essential but where you need to be creative in generating that extra storage space. Thinking outside of the box with built-ins, hanging storage, and recessed walls, you can make better use of your space and keep a fully functional, sightly, and organized handle on your stored goods.
Considering remodeling your home? Debating about whether to remodel your current home or buy a new one? Take into account every detail from budget to timeline to help you make an informed decision. Houzz surveyed 120,000 registered users whose responses may help you understand what to expect and how your renovation might play out. The first thing to remember is to be prepared; for anything. This includes paying premium for expensive taste, straying from your timeline, and experiencing various hiccups along the way. Also note that some of the best home renovation projects are kitchen and bathroom remodels. These rooms can very quickly feel outdated but can sometimes very simply be revived AND add value to your home - all good for resale! Read through the interesting findings from the survey which also details spending per square foot, the most common remodels, how remodels are often funded, and the benefits of a quality remodel.
When building or remodeling your home, there are so many options to consider: floor choices, paint colors, ceiling height, bathroom fixtures, and one less commonly thought of: your door choices. You might even wonder why weighing your options when it comes to door choices is even worth the effort. Take a minute to count the number of doors in your house. Not a small number, right? Consider then, the impact that a little attention to the doors can have on the overall style and design of your home. Doors are a simple way to dramatically update a space or improve functionality in the area.
Investing in the right material, style, and taking into consideration the possibility of specialty doors, you can enhance not only your home's appeal but its efficiency. Doors, as the gateway to your home, another room, or a hidden feature, are something not to be overlooked. Take the time to weigh your options and even get creative and playful with it - show them your personality at the door!
Get Your MOJO on
One of our companies, MOJO Built, has been developed with the purpose of rebuilding yesterday's historic homes for today's modern lifestyles. With remodel projects spanning the entire metro area, MOJO Built has a clear vision and founders who are passionate about each job at hand. Having listed and sold homes in Kansas City for years, the founders of Mojo Built recognized a lack of qualified industry professionals who possess the ability and vision to enhance functionally obsolescent floor plans of historic homes to today’s standards. Today’s lifestyles require modern floorplans, retrofitted for today’s technology, implemented by a qualified team who has the unique ability to transform an established home in a classic neighborhood while retaining its charm and character.
In response, we, Joe Woods and John Moffitt, formed Mojo Built in 2011. Our mission to maintain, preserve, and prolong the architectural integrity of the home throughout the remodeling process is what makes the finished product of a Mojo Built home unique. Joe Woods, with 10 years of experience in residential real estate, together with John Moffitt, who carries a lifetime of experience in quality residential home construction make up the certified Mojo Built team.
MOJO Built now has a Facebook page where you can stay up-to-date on our remodel projects, look at past projects and stay in touch and connect with our family. Consider a remodel of your home...it's a wonderful investment that can make an impression that will last for many years to come.
