The MOJO Built Team has been at it again. This past Sunday, we held the first open house for our recently finished remodeled home in Leawood Estates. We are so proud of how this home turned out and are eager for a lucky new family to call this place 'home.' The features of this home have been updated for the modern needs of today's family lifestyle while maintaining some of the characteristics of typical homes from this era. Take a look and contact us to see this home for yourself!

Looking to buy? Looking to build your custom home? Maybe you're considering remodeling your current home? In any of these cases, you might be interested in knowing exactly what makes up the "perfect" home. A study conducted by HouseLogic reveals what the ideal house includes...nine foot ceilings, single-level...who would have thought?! Truth is, however, there is no perfect home; and what makes a home ideal are the small details that matter to you as a homeowner...whether that be vintage building materials, the color of your dining room walls, or an extra large butcher block for cooking and entertaining. Find what matters to you and you'll have your ideal home anywhere! Moffitt Built takes pride in developing open floor plans allowing for easy living that doesn't separate spaces. This idea fosters an easy flow from room-to-room and results in less unnecessary walls, which generally end up crowding the space. Whether you live in a studio apartment or a 4-bedroom home, this floor plan is convenient and effortless. Many people wonder how to separate space in a plan like this. Together with your architect, here's what we can do to ensure that no space overpowers the rest. When Moffitt Built begins a new home construction process, the question is usually "How much will this cost?" We generally provide the homeowner with a bid, detailing the work order and the estimated price for labor and materials. This method of calculation tends to keep the entire team (including the homeowner) stuck to a certain price so it shouldn't vary. However, an estimate can also determine the approximate cost of work but may vary greatly by the end of the project. Here's an article explaining in thorough detail the difference between a bid and an estimate...good to know before you begin construction!
